  • Quotations are based on itineraries and requirements specified by the customer. Upon receipt of the quotation, any changes requested by the customer which incur additional costs will be charged to the customer
  • Prices are subject to change in the event of a change in the price of fuel or in the rate of VAT
  • Quotations are quoted in SA Rand and are only valid as stated on the quotation
  • Prices for services of sub-contractors may vary and such changes will be communicated to the customer in writing
  • Acceptance of the quotation will be regarded as also acceptance of Eastgate Safaris and Transfers terms and conditions of business
  • Normal bookings
    10% deposit of the total quoted price is required to confirm a reservation
    25% deposit is required if services are to be rendered within 31 – 90 days
    100% payment is required if services are to be rendered within 30 day
  • Block bookings (four or more vehicles required for the same itinerary)
    25% deposit of the total quoted price is required to confirm a reservation
    50% deposit is required if services are to be rendered within 90 days
    100% payment is required if services are to be rendered within 30 days
  • Cancellations shall only be valid if received in writing
  • Normal bookings
    90 – 30 days before commencement of services – 10% of the total quoted price
    29 – 14 days before commencement of services – 25% of the total quoted price
    13 – 1 day before commencement of services – 50% of the total quoted price
    No notice of cancellation – 100% cancellation fees will apply
  • Block bookings
    90 – 30 days before commencement of services – 25% of the total quoted price
    30 – 1 day before commencement of services – 50% of the total quoted price
  • Full payment for services is required prior to departure
  • Although credit facilities may be granted to customers, a deposit for block bookings will still be applicable
  • Personal belongings and luggage are carried at the owner’s risk. Eastgate Safaris and Transfers accepts no liability for loss or damage under any circumstances
  • Passengers shall, under no circumstances, carry with them on the vehicle any weapons, explosives or items which in the sole opinion of Eastgate Safaris and Transfers believes to be dangerous or hazardous, or likely to cause offence to other passengers or their property.
  • Eastgate Safaris and Transfers shall not be liable in any way for partial or total failure to perform the contract by reason of any mechanical or other defects, breakdown, accident or any other cause including any strike or lockout, fire or act of God, or for any claims, damages or expenses arising out of defects or failure as foresaid, or any delays in starting, transit, arrival or return of any vehicle.
  • Eastgate Safaris and Transfers reserves the right to sub-contract in case of an emergency and when this right is exercised, the substitute vehicle will, as far as circumstances permit, compare equally with Eastgate Safaris and Transfers vehicle. If such vehicle is not acquired, it remains the customer’s right to obtain a vehicle to his own standard and cost. In the event of Eastgate Safaris and Transfers sub-contracting a vehicle, it is agreed that the substituted vehicle operator shall act as an independent contractor, not subject to the control of Eastgate Safaris and Transfers. It shall be deemed that the customer and the sub-contracted vehicle operator entered into a contract of hire and that the customer indemnifies Eastgate Safaris and Transfers against any claim for damage or otherwise resulting from the driving of the substituted vehicle.
  • Any agreement of which these Terms and Conditions of Business form part of, shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
